Broadcasting / Tracks More Than 30 Minutes Long Are Not Being Played

Any tracks longer than 30 minutes or royalty-bearing tracks with less than 6 seconds will be skipped during playback.

"Royalty-bearing tracks" means tracks where a royalty payment is due to the content owner (content you do now own yourself).

We offset the cost of our streams with advertisements so we’re adding the 30-minute restriction to be able to serve at least two sets of advertisements every hour. We're also adding the 6-second restriction to minimize the royalty impact since royalties are incurred on all royalty-bearing tracks no matter how short.

If you have tracks longer than 30 minutes, please split and re-upload the tracks. You can find out more about this at: http://wiki.live365.com/pmwiki.php?n=Broadcasting.SplitALargeMP3File

If you have non-royalty-bearing tracks shorter than 6 seconds (like station IDs, DJ talk, or other content that you own), go to your Tracks Page, click on the station title and change the "track type" to the correct setting (i.e. TALK, ID, etc.). If you have music/comedy tracks shorter than 6 seconds). please delete them.

We thank you for your continued support of Live365.
