Broadcasting / Exceeds Maximum Bitrate

I'm using the Web Upload tool but I'm getting an "exceeds maximum bitrate" error message. What is causing this issue?

If you use the Web Upload Tool, the files that you upload cannot exceed 128kbps. The 128kbps limit is the maximum bitrate that we accept on this upload page. You will receive this "File exceeds maximum bitrate of 128kbps" message if you upload a file that is encoded at a bitrate that is greater than 128kbps.

Also, if you decide to use this Web Upload Tool, please keep in mind that the bitrates are not changed when you upload a file. If you have a 128kbps file but your station is setup for 64kbps, the file will upload fine, but it will be uploaded at the 128kbps bitrate. This file may be skipped if you include it within a 64kbps playlist. If you need to change the bitrate of your file, please use our Studio365 tool.

Finally, please keep in mind that you can only upload one file at a time. If you navigate away from the Web Upload Tool during an upload, your upload will be terminated.
